Challenging Language – The Middle East Collection
Challenging Language is a series of works by Vera DG which explore how concepts of invisible, forgotten, broken or esoteric communication can inspire or transform our other experiential senses of sight, intuition, ethereal cognitions (the 6th sense), to explore the capacity of language to generate physical senses from an environment, from the surrounding culture, and experience, transmitting into the language of calligraphy.
لغة التحدي هي سلسلة من أعمال – فيرا ديجي – التي تستكشف كيف يمكن لمفاهيم التواصل المكسور أو المنسي أو الباطني أو غير المرئي أن تلهم أو تحول حواسنا التجريبية الأخرى المتمثلة في البصر أو الحدس أو الإدراك الأثيري (الحاسة السادسة) ، لاستكشاف قدرة لغة لتوليد الحواس الجسدية من البيئة ، من الثقافة المحيطة ، والخبرة ، ونقلها إلى لغة الخط.

Language can take many forms within a culture, not only by oral transmissions from one being to another but also through forms of ancient traditions, rites, symbols, and visual code.

The Middle East Collection ‘Challenging Language’ by Vera DG consists of 8 artworks, which have made in the Modern Calligraphy and Calligraffiti Styles. Artworks are showcasing in Dubai at the exhibition ‘Reflections’ at Aisha Alabbar Art Gallery.
تتكون مجموعة “لغة التحدي” من فيرا دي جي من 8 أعمال فنية ، وهي مصنوعة في أنماط الخط العربي والكاليرافيتي الحديثة. تعرض الأعمال الفنية في دبي في معرض “تأملات” في معرض عائشة العبار للفنون.
The artworks ‘ Eternal Love’ and the ‘Princess of Desert’ show us the images of beautiful women in eastern turbans, surrounded by a mixture of Arabic and European calligraphy.
The colors of sand, black, and gold symbolize the desert, fabulous fairy tales of the East and the mystery of Eastern women.
تُظهر لنا الأعمال الفنية “الحب الأبدي” و “أميرة الصحراء” صور النساء الجميلات في العمائم الشرقية ، وتحيط به مزيج من الخط العربي والأوروبي.
ترمز ألوان الرمال والأسود والذهب إلى الصحراء ، وحكايات خرافية رائعة من الشرق ، وسر المرأة الشرقية.
Aymana Series
The exhibition also features works that Vera DG created specifically for Exhibition of the Aisha Alabbar Art Gallery.
Aymana means the Moon. These three pictures are a story about a real person. And at the same time, it is an image of a human of the future who came from science fiction books. She is a half biological creature and half Robot, Cyber Girl. It reflects a new world of mixed reality, which we will discover very soon.
